Considering I just had the best moment of my life choosing Lucas as my player character (just realized I might be trans haha), how about a shiny Empoleon? The teal is pretty, but still very similar to regular Empoleon :P

OK first off, glad that first anon is exploring their gender and finding more about themself, that’s very healthy and good! I only wish I had replied to this ask and posted the Empoleons back then when it happened… But all right haha.
Now. OK, I wasn’t very sure what I could do with Empoleon to be honest, so I started with purple because it’s not that different from blue, it’s a pretty color and it’s still generally a cool shade so it suits a water starter… And I also like the teal-turquoise idea that they had in the original so I tried to use that on the blade-like details. As for the beak, turns out most colors look very weird on the beak, so I decided to try gray, which is a color that happens on some birds and also works with the steel type. My next thought was that I should make a “traditional penguin” version too, with pure black and white, (well, not pure black and white as the ventablack and the interior of a star or anything, I mean it as zero saturation, of course ahurhightd). For the blades I went with gray (in fact, I kept that idea on the last three versions) since they are well… blades. And I made the beak and feet more orange because emperor penguins have an orange spot near the face (gradient from yellow to orange actually) and a thin orange-y strip on the beak. The Frozen version was a whole journey until I finally became satisfied with it… Basically I wanted one with a light color for the body, I first tried light blue, then a light gray, then white, and then tried to make the beak blue (but as I said before, most colors look odd on the beak), changed the shade of the blades a billion times… etc etc. In the end, the beak is a big greenish, but I thought it actually worked nicely because it’s got very low saturation and high brightness, so it’s subtle. And well, Full Metal Alchemist version is pretty obvious: it’s a steel type and I wanted to make a gray version, one that is almost grayscale. For this one I wanted to make the beak a shade of like… nickel or a faint copper, something like that…
I’m only kinda disappointed I couldn’t get to make one with yellow blades, like gold, because I thought it would be really cool, but none of the combinations I tried ended up satisfying to me. :(

Edit my baby hydreigon please!! :3 The green just isn’t my taste haha
Hydreigon is always such a pain to draw shiuhguidth but here it is! ^^ My first take was trying to keep that purple from the original shiny because I like it a lot and changing the green into something else… As a fan of Halloween aesthetics, naturally my first idea was adding some orange to it, and I liked it! Then I tried something with brown… I used brown on the body and since Hydreigon’s fur is a rather brownish tone, I thought about inverting the colors and using blue on the fur. Also because I personally really like combos of brown with blues, turquoise, aqua and bluish greens. Called that one “Coelacanth” because coelacanths are actually blue while alive and turns brown when dead (except for the Indonesian coelacanth which is already brown). The Grape Harvest version came from me once again being so gay for purple and wanting to try it on the body this time! I ended up picking red for the details and a very dull dark green-blue for the fur just because I thought they looked prety! :3 Bumblebee happened because I really wanted to try using gray on the fur and I didn’t want to repeat other colors so I decided to try some yellow! Its body is not actually pure black, but a very dark blue, but since Bumblebees in my country are dark bluish black the name still works! :)
And finally, how to trans your dragon, the Lollipop variety wasn’t as serious as the other ones, but I wanted so bad to see what Hydreigon would look like with cheerful light blue and pink colors… I actually tried all possible combinations of white, pink and blue on each part of its body, but ended up thinking this one was the best of all!
Oh yeah and thanks a lot, anon, I’m glad you enjoyed the other shinies! :3

Change either Flareon, Umbreon, regular Garchomp, or Cinccino? Your choice :3c
Back after 3000 years, I hope you guys who sent the asks are still here to see them hafursihtiuh…. Anyway, decided to go with Flareon because I’ve already done Garchomp here, I have another ask for Cinccino later on, and I actually like Umbreon’s shiny pretty much so I thought working with Flareon would be more interesting to me! ^^
My first take was trying to start off with the original shiny but making it actually interesting… At first I tried going for an orange body similar to the original and bright yellow flames… But it ended up too boring. So I inverted that and made a sort of “inverted colors Flareon” only with a stronger shade of yellow. I also wanted to try a black one because I think more fire types should use the color black (because of ashes and coal and burnt things in general), so that resulted in the Charcoal version.. The Cherry Stain one was the result of a kind of… experimentation, like, trying many things out to see how they looked until I ended up with something I liked. It’s pretty intense tho! And lastly, I also like the concept of blue fire types since fire is sometimes blue, so I made the “Wrong Type” version, that sort of looks like it’s an ice type or something haha.
